Open lectures

Following a long standing tradition Institute of Astronomical Observatory UAM offers a series of popular-science lectures open to public. Researchers will present interesting subjects in the field of Astronomy. Lectures are held once a month, twice that day.

This year, lectures are held as a part of the 100th anniversary of our Observatory and the worldwide action “100 years: Under One Sky” organized in connection with the centenary of the International Astronomical Union.

After each lecture, the audience is welcome to join a sightseeing tour of the observatory telescopes and a telescope star gazing session, weather permitting. The total visit takes approximately 1.5-2 hours (45-60 minutes lecture and 45-60 minutes sightseeing and sky gazing tour).

Reservations can be made online. All lectures are in polish.

Note that the date, time, and the topic of the lecture and the lecturer may change.
