The European Space Agency has selected the Gaia-GOSA service as an image of the week for the Gaia official website. The article summarizes the goals of the project and talks about the observations gathered. The Gaia-GOSA service has been developed by the Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznań and iTTi (a Polish IT company) under the ESA Contract “Gaia-GOSA: An interactive service for asteroid follow-up observations”. With collaboration of some Gaia DPAC people at the Observatoire de la Côte d’Azur and from the University of Barcelona. The website was recently delivered to ESA and is now in its exploitation phase.
The development of the Gaia-GOSA service has been possible through the work done by Prof. Tadeusz Michałowski, dr Toni Santana-Ros, dr Przemysław Bartczak and mgr Grzegorz Dudziński.
